Anyone else caught a cold right before surgery?

I'm so worried! My 18 month old grandson (who lives with me) has a cold. To make matters worse, I work in a germ factory A.K.A school and I swear half my students were coughing, sneezing, and sniffling. I'm so scared I'm going to catch something and my surgery will be postponed. It will really mess up my disability paperwork, work, etc., not to mention I'll probably have to do this damn 2 week liquid diet all over again! Has this happened to anyone else? Any tips or advice for staying healthy and if I do get sick, any tips for getting rid of this quick? Surgery is this coming Wednesday!!

Get emergence it's nasty but boost your immune system and works wonders

Yes take vitamin C!! I just bought the generic vitamin C supplements and take them in addition to my multivitamin! It should help you! Also you can try Zicam. It's nasty but my in laws swear by it. You take it at the first sign of illness though.

My son has recently gotten sick also with a fever and cold symptoms. I told him I couldn't love on him as much because of my surgery May 5th????. Anyhow I have been taking extra vitamins and also having fresh oranges. Drinking a lot of water and making sure I sanitize and wash a lot. But if you work at a school I would imagine your immune systems defenses are pretty darn good. You are exposed to,I don't know how many, different immune systems every day. So that honestly works in your favor. Other than that for me I just try to give it to God. I am rooting for you and understand ALL of the arrangements you need to orchestrate to make this happen. Best of luck!!!
