Just not hungry

I am almost seven weeks out and I have no appetite. I literally have to remind my self to eat. I'm getting my Protein from shakes mixed with milk. I know that I need to eat regular food but it as soon as I take a bite and swallow I just feel blah. My Dr. was a little concerned at my five week visit and wanted me to start getting my protein from meat.

Has anyone else had this happen? Will my appetite return eventually and I'm just one of the lucky ones that isn't hungry all the time? Is this the 'honeymoon' phase that will end in 6-18 months? I am about 45lbs from my surgery weight and about 70 from my heaviest.

Thanks, I'm actually concerned I'll go right past my goal weight and keep loosing.

Lose what you can in the honeymoon phase!! And keep trying a bite or two of food here and there. Maybe one bite is all you can do but it's still something!

Congrats!!!

The milk will be solidifying in your stomach and filling you up. Your appetite will return if you leave room for other, more nutritionally wholesome food.

Some people never really start to feel hungry and just have to keep eating on a schedule. I am like that too most days. As long as you are meeting your nutritional goals and getting your water, I wouldn't be too worried. :)
