I DID IT! One day post op

  • Popular Post

Despite some serious anxiety the day before surgery I was sleeved on 4-8-14. The pain has been a little worse than I anticipated. I have to admit I have questioned why I did this a little. Then I remember this short term pain will be worth the long term affects. I have been walking but have still had a lot of gas built up in my chest. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for getting rid of it? I am completely amazed how I am on liquids and not feeling hungry!!! This is amazing. I think once the pain is gone its gonna be the best decision ever.

  • Gas-x works well for the gassy feeling. The pain will get better each day so just hang in there. It's the muscles trying to recover. Good luck and congratulations!

  • Congrats! I felt much better after about a week... went back to work at 2 weeks and my energy level was fine. Keep on walking and that gas pain will go away soon! The worst is over with... it's all up

  • We are twins! Lol. I had surgery same day and feeling exactly the same. Congrats! I'm struggling with gas but walking and deep breathing helps.

Way to go girl!! Taking that big step wil all be worth it soon. Congrats on your new journey :)

Congratulations, and welcome to the losers bench! You're going to do GREAT! Heating pads helped me with the gas and, of course, walking when you can. The lack of hunger is pretty amazing, isn't it? Keep sipping Water, and again, congratulations!

Be well…
