bad breath?

Anybody out there experiencing bad breath or a bad taste in your mouth since surgery? I'm exactly 2 weeks out, on pureed food for two days now. I can't quite explain it but it makes me want to use mouth wash and brush my teeth constantly.

I know, it's so gross! Of all the research I did before surgery, no one ever warned me about this. It started for me when I was doing the pre-op liquid diet. I'm afraid we may be stuck with it through the high protein/weigh loss phase of our diet. I think when you get to maintenance you can go to a more normal ratio of protein, carbs and fat, so it should go away. At least that's what I'm hoping. I'd love to hear from some veterans on this.
