I have suffered from migraines since I was 13. I tried all the medications out there, did neuro work ups, everything, but no medicine works, except the "migraine cocktail" they give you via IV at the ER, but I HATE the drugged out feeling. I finally tried having braces on my teeth as I am a grind my jaw and after 3 years of wearing them it did help. I think I had two causes of the migraines, hormones & the teeth grinding.
Now, I am almost 3 months out of sleeve surgery & am beginning to get them again! My GYN told me that estrogen is stored in fat cells (I have a major sensitivity to estrogen, can't do birth control because of it) & I am afraid that's why the new migraines are starting: my body is shedding fat & therefore releasing the estrogen into my system.
I do NOT want to suffer through these again as they are completely debilitating (I have to just close myself off in a dark room for days) and none of the medication really works.
I saw a post that said CoQ 10 can help, so I will try that, but does anyone have any suggestions? I know I am not getting enough Water & that can cause headaches as well, so have been upping my intake.
Thanks!
Amber
