Portion size help!

Hi all, just wanted to know what everyone's portion sizes are like? I'm 9 months post op and think I might still be eating too much as I keep going for the "full" feeling or until the plate is empty rather than when I'm satisfied. Iv never really weighed or measured out food as I always use small plates ect but think it's time I did so. Any advise on portion control would be great :-)

In the banded world, if you have ½ cup of solid Protein food, and ½ of veggies, you should be fine. That doesn't mean to eat the whole cup of food, but you certainly won't go over. Most times I find that a full ½ cup of protein is too much. I'm more around ⅓ cup of.....lets say, tuna, egg salad or chili type of things.

Hi Hayley. It sounds like it may be time for you to weigh and measure your food. I've done that since the beginning and it works like a charm for me because I also have issues with knowing when it's enough. I eat 3 ounces of Protein, 1/2 cup of veggies and 1/4 cup of carbs. I used to track everything I ate into myfitnesspal so I knew to stay around 1,000-1,100 calories a day.

I don't use myfitnesspal anymore...I don't have to at this point. But I still weigh and measure.

Good luck!!

Thank you for your help. It's so confusing!

Just bought myself some new scales and tubs so I can have it all ready for different days!
