Apples during pre-op

I start my day out with an apple everyday. I love apples. Gala apples to be specific. I have read through all of the info from my dr about the pre-op diet several times. It says fresh fruit is ok but it doesn't list apples specifically. I know that apples have carbs and that is the BIG deal with my dr is to watch my carbs. Any advice about apples? Can I still have my apple a day? Are those carbs ok?

I hope so. I have eaten 5 apples in the last 8 days. LOL. I seem to be craving them.
