Frustrated!!

I'm trying not to be a baby here, but I am feeling very frustrated! I had a fill 2 weeks ago and I'm wanting to see more results than I have been. I was banded on 7/26/04 and I've lost 22 pounds so far. I also have a large sized band so my first fill was 5cc. I really thought that I was going to have more restriction than I am having so far. I had to travel to Hong Kong to get my fill and it's not easy for me to just go and have an ajustment fill! I also live in China where all our scales are in Kilos so I have to wait until I lose 2.2 pounds to see the scales move at all. I have been working out some, but I'd like to get to the gym more often. It seems that others who were banded near the same time as I was have lost more weight. Why???? Arg!!

What & how much are you eating in a day? Exactly how much water are you drinking in a day? What you are eating and how much water you are drinking are key to weight loss...Oh and exercise too

Heidi... you're weight-loss so far is fantastic! Take it easy on yourself and remember that this is not a quick fix... it's a forever fix.

Try and measure you weight-loss in other ways besides the scale numbers... like noting the differences in how clothing fits or doing actual body measurements to keep track of inches lost.

Yes, 22 pounds in 7 weeks is wonderful! I agree w/Darcy, you'll be pleasantly surprised in the inches that you've lost. And like Michelle asked, it's really important to get that water load in (but not with your meals) and try to eat solid, filling proteins that help you feel full longer. This isn't a race. This is "for keeps". One week you may seem to lose, then the next it may seem to just sit there. Please don't get discouraged. Your band will be there for you. Best of luck!
