Who else is starting the six month Doctor supervised diet. I am so excited to finally get the ball rolling on the gastric sleeve.

Is that doctor required? Back when I started my weight loss Quest about 2 yrs ago, my insurance required the 6 month diet (which was basically just 6 months of going in and getting weighed). Fast forward 18 months....... a girl I work with had the surgery and did not have to do the 6 month wait. She used a different surgeon. When I went to mine, they told me I had to do the 6 month wait and I said why? my co worker didn't and she has the same insurance. Lo and behold, they did not know (or check) that the requirements had changed. So just a heads up if this is why you are doing the 6 month supervised diet. It might not be necessary.

Yes check your insurance I had a place tell someone I know 6 months and I kept telling her they didn't know what they were talking about she didn't believe me and a lady came in 2 months after her and got her surgery before she did....SO CHECK CHECK CHECK
