I was wondering if anyone had to see an endocrinologist before their surgery? I am having to see one of my surgeon's endo's there at their office before I can have the surgery. I am a type 2 diabetic also.

I don't understand why I have to see their endo doc; when I already have one that I see regularly. Is there a difference in one or the other?

That seems like duplication of services? Why can't they just get your consent to get your records from your current endocrinologist?? Or have you make and appointment with him? Doesn't make sense. I would definitely seek clarification on this matter. Maybe your surgeon overlooked that you currently have one.
