I just wanted to write how inspired I am by reading the words written by people on here and how supportive this group is for people, both pre and post op with getting the gastric sleeve. Like most of you, I'm sure, I have googled gastric sleeve to death and have all the emotions associated with pre sleeve-ness... scared, excited, anxious etc. With the fear of failure being the prevailing. I am blessed to have a very supportive family and friends who have shown nothing but understanding and compassion as I have told them on my decision to have this surgery. Being overweight for so long has been quite isolating, for a variety of reasons. But I feel I'm ready to let go of the fear and embrace the change I'm about to go through. I know it will be worth it but want to thank in advance those who either directly or otherwise offer words of support and inspiration as I embark on this new chapter of my life.
