    How far out are you...I didn't TAKE A SIP for 6 months this far out and I've been demoted to 2 glasses, after that, its lights out.. SECURITY!!!!!...so sad for me..ex-wine-o

I wanted to know with gastric bypass can I have some wine

I waited til I was several months out. My surgeon recommended 6 months and I've heard of some recommending a year. I worried about the sugar and how it would affect my weight loss so that's why I followed that rule. Now I just have to watch because my tolerance is low and can be really caught up in a hurry with feeling it. Good luck!

    I am 3.5 months lap band post op and I do drink sometimes and yes, it catches up with me fast! I feel like I'm learning to drink all over again! Lol

    I am 4 months post gastric bypass. I just had a glass of wine the other night and couldn't finish it...went right to my head! To think, before surgery, that one glass would be refilled before my dinner had been brought to the table. Oh, well. I was happy with only a couple of sips. I don't plan on pushing it.
