no I have never used them during a stuck episode. the antiacids would just add to the volume in your pouch. but if you are having indigestion they are okay to use. but, every doctor will have a choice of what to use. I am on Prilosec and can take tums when I need to. but they will not help when stuck.

Antacids are good for mild reflux or indigestion and should only be used when your esophagus/pouch is clear of all food.
