Holy crud!

OK, I've been stuck for a while, even up a little. At first, I figured it was just my first plateau, so I upped the work-outs and made sure I was eating right. Still no progress. So I took a good look at what I'm eating, and got a major shock.

I had found this wonderful snack. Trail mix from Wal-Mart - the Cajun one. Spicey and sweet and really yummy. I knew it had 160 cals a serving, but that didn't seem like that much. Until this morning, when I actually used my food scale to see what a serving looked like. Holy Sh*t!! :faint: :faint: :faint: It was a tiny amount. I figure I was eating easily 500 cals or more a night without even thinking about it. Not to mention the sodium content. It was a good lesson in mindful eating.

So, back to herb tea at night if I want something with taste...

Lisah, good for you taking a look at your diet. I had to do the same thing recently. I am always hungry so I thought I needed another fill. Low and behold I am only eating soft foods which don't stick to you. My surgeon told me yesterday to eat more solids. Well I did that and I am down 2 lbs since Sunday. I am very happy now. Good luck.

lisah 25,

a really good night time snack is lugie's sugar free italian ice, it comes in lemon and cherry flavors. the small cup that it somes in is only 60 cals. and you have to eat it slow since the texture requires you to kind of slice it off the top of the frozen chunk.:clap2:
