First fill

I am 2-weeks post-op and my appetite has returned. I know my dr said first fill is one-month post-op but I am ready for a fill. Is this normal?

Yes it is and most docs won't fill you yet since you're still recovering and healing from the surgery. Filling now could cause your stomach and pouch to move too much causing the sutures to tear loose. It takes time to learn how to eat with the band.

Until your band is adjusted properly this is just another diet. Hang in there.

tmf

TMF is right. It will likely take a couple of fills before you feel restriction & your band starts doing its thing. Hang in there!

I'm right there with you. First week was a breeze, then the hunger came back in full force. Thankfully (keeping fingers crossed) my first fill we be on 2/26 IF I have healed and IF this hematoma has been absorbed into my body......
