Post op medicine question

I am 10 months out FYI...

Had breast surgery yesterday. My question is:

What is the quickest way for Percoset to take effect: On empty stomach or with food for delivery? What is your experience. Not concerned about nausea FYI. Also, did you break the pill up for faster delivery? And yes, I know I can ask my Doctors but want your experiences please.
