I thought I'd seen it all - I was wrong!

WOW....okay, so I just checked out Dr. Tin's website to see what it was all about and they advertised two types of cosmetic surgery I've never heard of before:

1. Labial reduction (OMIGAWD!!!! Are women really needing/wanting this??????).

2. Hymen Restoration...!!!!!! This one KILLS ME!!!!!!! oh hello doc...I wanna be a virgin again, plse restore my hymen!!!!! If my hymen is restored, does that mean I'm a virgin ??? I guess some men and some cultures will think so. ROTFLMAO!!!! I'm sorry, I know some may think I'm being insensitive, but this just SLAYS me!!!!!

I've heard of 'em before....

1) I guess so!

2) It's probably a case of "I had sex before marriage, and if my new husband/family/religious people find out, I'm soooo dead!" .. I don't think the gal would be fooling herself, but the next guy... I guess.

Groooosssss.... I don't even want to think about this stuff. UGGGG! Why would you want something reattached so some guy can go and rip it apart again... *GAG*

well...personally, i dunno why women would bother paying for surgery to have it done. it grows back after a while anyway.

after...a long while...a long long long while...

Many many moons ago a friend gave me a book entitled "How to regain your virginity". It didn't work!!! LOL. Mind you there was no mention of the hymen restoration (I still can't say that without crackin' up!!!).

What kills me is the website states that it may "break" due to things other than sex: such as horseback riding (UH...yeah RIGHT!), tampon usage (okay, I can see that) and things requiring a lot of flexibility......

LMAO.

So whats da problem? If da man tinks ye are no longer a virgin cause yer hymen ain't intact, just tell him ya went on a horsie!!! OH VEY!!! Some men!!!!

I know Canada is a multicultural society and all, but this really takes the cake!!!!!!!!!!

As for the Labia reduction...ya, that just grosses me out too much to even think about it!!!!!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, the things some women will go through.....for MEN!!??!!!!

A friend of mine wants her labia reduced. she thinks it will be "prettier" without the lips.

To me it is like circumcision, that's the way nature made us, I'm not messing permanently with nature's doing.

Driven by men, ordered by men, required by men. I donna a think any modern woman would have that done. Been married 35 years and my hubby didn't give a dam just can't fathom what is so important. Who cares who got there first. All that matters is the one you are with. Doddie

Yoda----do not laugh about losing your virginity horesback riding. I was in my late teens---he the same...we rode those horses way out behind the field barn........yep it was horseback riding what did it!!!!

Still makes me smile!!!

Kat

Yoda what is LMAO oh wait , I think I got it....laf my ....off.

Kat you are too funny.

Dr. Tin only does lapband there not this other stuff. Other DR's do that.

fyi

May I ask a question about eating fibre after banding. I have read on here or somewhere that the DR suggests taking a laxitive instead of fibre rich foods after surgery. Any particular reason?
