Pre-Op diet Protein Shakes..

I am scheduled for surgery with Dr. Roberto Rumbaut in Monterrey, Mexico...my hubby and I are going together and we will both be having Lapbands placed.

We start our pre-op diets on April 2 (me) and April 4 (him).

I am researching the Protein shake thing and trying to figure out which ones are the most palatable.

If anyone cares to share any opinions, they would be greatly appreciated!

About a month ago there was a whole long thread about folks different types of Protein brands and their favs. Do a search on pre op diet or Protein shakes and you'll find the info.

Mine...I like the 6 star from Walmart....with skim or unsweetened soy. Been on them for a month...so ready for next Friday, 3/30. Good luck!

I tried various Protein powders with skim milk, soy milk, and different types of fresh and frozen fruit and it still had an aftertaste that I didn't care for. My current mix is 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream flavored Protein powder, 4 oz of Starbucks Frappuccino Lite, and a few ice cubes. This is indeed a yummy mix.
