Short term disability coverage for surgery in Mexico?

Hi,

I just accidentally posted this in the wrong section so if you are reading this twice I apologize.

Wondering if anyone was able to use short term dis coverage for surgery in Mexico? I have it and it kicks in after a week of sick time and I want to take 2 weeks but u don't know that the insurance would cover an elective surgery in Mexico.

Anyone have any experience with this? My short term dis insurance is with Unum.
