Heart palpating

Ok I need some help. My surgery is Tuesday and I started my liquid diet yesterday. Yesterday afternoon I started feeling like my heart was palpating. I'm not sure what it is or could be. I don't feel overly nervous but I wonder if this is just anxiety? Anyone else experience this?

You may be low in potassium. Call your surgeons office and inform them what is going on. Blood work may be in order.

It was happening to me too, especially at night before sleep. But the great thing is I'm 3 months out with 30 pounds gone and haven't had them since. Night time was when I couldn't control the worrying even though during the day I felt fine.

Could be AFib... could be nerves or even caffeine... I have AFib, and they still did the surgery, but its something you will want to have looked at. The sooner the better.
