Vocational Rehabilitation Program

Has anyone ever used vocational rehabilitation to pay for surgery. I am self pay and unable to get financing and my bariatric center suggested this program to look into. I am already employed and nervous I will say the wrong thing when I call as this is my last hope and will be devastated if I can't get help. Hoping someone can give me some info.

Vocational Rehabilitation is a state agency that helps the disabled find work. Check with your voc rehab office and see what services they offer and if you qualify for assistance. I am sure it varies by state.

Does the Vocational Rehabilitation Program only help if you're unemployed? Were you employed when the approved you? How long did it take for them to approve you?

I am unemployed. I don't know what the employment requirements are. You can call your states office or check their website to see if you might be eligible for services. It has taken me about 9+ months from the first phone call.
