Oh weird thing that happened at the health food store. One of the guys that work there asked if I needed help finding something. I explained I had weight loss surgery and was looking for chewable type vitamins. He starts in about all this stuff I didn't ask about. Started saying things like u didn't put it all on in one day, it's not gonna come off that fast either...uh huh I know... U should cut out a inspirational pic of yourself at a thin size and put it on your mirror! That way you won't give up. It will inspire you! I said well thanks but I don't have a thin pic, I've never been thin. He says what!! Never??!! Even when u were younger??!! I said nope I'm old and fat and before I was young and fat. Where's your vitamins? He stands back, looks me up and down and says girl let me tell you, u are a looker already and when u come back in here no one is going to recognize you! You're going to split the walls with your beauty! You just wait and see since you have no idea what it looks like on you cause I can see it now! Ok well he changed the direction that was going and sorta made me feel better. it was just a really weird and awkward moment with him lol strangers can just say anything huh.

This is so funny something similar happened to me!! When I was pre op I had to meet with a shrink (due to insurance requirements) while I'm waiting a couple walks in I get called in. I'm the shrink no more then 10min I come out the couples wife gets called in. I'm waiting for the receptionist the husband waiting for his wife tells me "your making another appointment" I said "no I just want to give him the questioner " he has the guts to tell me "oh wow one visit and your fixed already" so I told him why I was there and crazy man tells me "god your so pretty already I could only imagine how your going to look after I wish I could see you after when your skinny man I see you already looking skinny and more beautiful" right then the receptionist walks I I gave my papers I smiled and left.

Wow. This is why my WLS is my business and no one else's. I hate busy bodies and personal comments, so invasive. Every time I hear a story like this it just reinforces my decision to keep it private. Sounds like you handled it like a lady (more than I would have done LOL). I order my stuff online.
