Where in Mass. is everyone from?

I am new to the board. Would love to meet anyone considering banding or who is already banded.

I am in Abington (near Braintree, Brockton). Where is everyone else in Massachusetts from? :typing:

I really like this board I have learned so much already.

Hi Everyone! I am wondering if anyone from Rhode Island has been banded, and by whom? I will be seeing Dr. Dieter Phol on June 28th for my first appointment. His office is located in Johnston, RI. Has anyone heard of him or used him? He does the surgery at Roger Williams General Hospital in Providence. He has a great reputation from what I hear. He also did the seminar that I attended in April and I was impressed with his overall demeanor. Hope to hear from someone in RI soon. Thanks, Deb

:guess May it would be a better response if you went to the RI chat thread??? this is a Mass. thread.?! :) Good Luck !

Congratulations....welcome to bandland!! I am only 3 weeks out so I am not much further along than you. Just know that you will feel better, I promise!

Arlington, MA here, work in Boston.

I forgot to post here - I'm from Marshfield - representing the South Shore...what, what!! ;)

live in wakefield, work in north reading (hello scott! i work at hood) and was banded in boston at bidmc by dr. jones who is awesome! i would love to get a north shore group together for support and fun. anyone interested?

I have two friends who had bypasses done by dr. pohl, and they all rave about him. If you're getting surgery in RI, he's the one to go to! :(

Good luck with your journey!

HI,

I'm from Uxbridge. It's a small town in the Blackstone Valley. I was banded on Aug 12th at Norwood Hospital.

Donna

It's going well. I've lost 22 lbs already but i'm still on the liquid post op diet.

The doc tells me I will probably gain some back when I proceed with the soft/full diet.

So far, no troubles. Minimal pain.

Donna
