Being fat in dreams

Recommended Posts

Ok so in wondering if anyone else sees themselves as a fat person in dreams? I was not fat in every stage of my life. In the teens and early 20's I managed to keep weight under control and I remember when I would see myself in dreams at night ( I'm a vivid dreamer) I was relatively thin. These dreams were me feeling confident and sassy. After about 5 years of being heavy, I became heavy in my dreams also. I noticed I became much more a victim in my replay of life in this subconscious state. My dreams reflected a lot of social rejection and feeling not very pretty once the weight settled in.

Wondering if any of you ladies or gents have dreams that reflect the fat you?

No, maybe my subconscious is blissfully unaware of the size I have become. I am what is call normal size in my dreams, not big, not small. If you are post surgery maybe your subconscious is trying to identify with the old you. (Could be totally unrelated to weight)

M. Scott Peck wrote a book "In heaven as on earth" in which disabled people and overweight people were still like this when they got to heaven. Basically this was beause those people defined themselves by these factors, rather than being the beautiful people that they are.

In the book, they had to work through these issues prior to entering heaven fully.

Interesting question. In most of my dreams I am not looking at myself so I can't tell whether I'm fat or not.

I do think my self esteem has improved. My most recent dream involved an inadequately clothed Marilyn Monroe who was apparently smitten with me.

I hope I'm not fat in my dreams because I'm usually naked for some reason. :0

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
