work out

Im just wondering how far along everyone was along when they started working out after their surgery? I know the dr doesnt want ppl doing heavyifting for like a month after but im talking light workouts like walking on a treadmill for a half hour. I want to get back to feeling like a normal person and get the most out of this operation as possible.

My dr made me wait four weeks and I could only walk then. I had to wait until six weeks for minor lifting.

I was cleared for walking immediately after surgery - I was told to walk as much as you can as often as you can. I got tired very fast - like at the 1/3 of a mile mark. I worked up to a mile about one week out.

At 6 weeks I can do 3-4 miles at one time.

You should always follow what your surgeon's direction.
