Anyone from Oxforf, MS?

I have made the decision to take the plunge as recommended by my internist. I will have my initial consultation in January and my insurance company thinks I may be able to have it sooner than I thought as I have been trying different things. I downloaded this app because I thought it may give me courage but after reading some of the problems I am feeling doubtful. I am 56 with type II diabetes which is under control and high BP . I am 5 FT 10 inches and weigh around 330 lbs. I have questions and am looking for guidance. Is anyone out there willing to assist?

Hi! I do not live in Oxford any longer but I did for a few years while I attended Ole Miss. I am now living in Jackson. I just turned 24 and was sleeved on December 17 in Tupelo. I also had type 2 diabetes..I say had because I got to leave the hospital without my diabetes meds. I was really nervous about having the sleeve done but it was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. The anxiety beforehand and the gas pains are the worst parts. I can already tell a HUGE difference in my appearance in my short 2 weeks since surgery. This surgery has been such a blessing already! If you have any questions that I can help you with just let me know :)
