I cheated and have regrets...

Recommended Posts

The Cheat - I swore I would only weigh myself once/week so I wouldn't get obsessed with the numbers. But when getting dressed this morning, I had to tighten my belt an extra notch. Made me curious, So I gave in to the scale....down 11 pounds in 10 days on my preop diet! I'm still a week away from surgery and I was told to lose 12 pounds so I guess I'm good to go!

The Regret - I started my preop diet 2 days early "just in case" :(

I started mine a few days early as well and that should NOT be a regret. That in my mind is a victory! THAT means your ready and you get IT.

I started mine a day early because I was sick and tired of thinking about it and having food funerals. But, like indecision says above, it was a victory in my book - I lived thru the pre-op diet and got an extra day. I won!

You will win this, too - congrats on your loss so far, don't derail it because you're close to your pre-op goal. Stick with your plan and you'll do great!

Good luck!

Kindle , that is awesome. Keep up the good work. At least that weight will be gone and you won't have to address it after the surgery.

The fact that you started early means you're ready to own this. Now you have a greater opportunity to surpass expectations and exceed the goal set. Be proud of yourself!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
