My post instructions was that to use heating pad for pain areas.. It may be trapped gas.. that is where I usually get gas pains, in my back.

I just had surgery on 12/10/13 and I was wondering if a heating pad would be good for my aching back.

Yes and I would alternate with cold.

I use heating pad and then a bag of frozen peas/veggies makes a great ice pack. Hope you feel better

I had mine on the 10th too and my back's a bit sore also. I didn't even think about it being gas. I had to report my gas-passing to every nurse that came in my room...ver odd! LOL
