today i am 4 weeks out. i started feeling better by day 5, but had lingering gas pains for 2 weeks. i had soreness/discomfort for the first 3 weeks i would say. but everyone is different. each day will get better and better.

I am 67 years old. Sleeved Nov. 18. I dose of pain meds at home on Nov. 19. None since. No gas pain but some recommend gas-x strips. I went shopping 5 days after surgery and 3 weeks after surgery I have shopped several hours at a time, 2-3 stores. I feel better than I have in years, and I amazingly don;t have the neuropathy foot pain which was killing me before surgery. Praise the Lord! I am so happy I had this surgery. Just rest and take it day by day.

I had my sleeve created on 11/26. By Dec 1st I was walking 1 mile twice daily and today I've walked 4 miles. I'm 42 with no prior health issues other than arthritis and morbid obesity. I've lost a total of 27 pounds so far and I feel phenomenal. I actually feel better than I have anytime in the past 5-6 years. I was really nervous preop, but it has been nothing close to what I imagined! The key is walking and hydration. You'll do great!!

Sleeved 10/24. No pain meds after 10/25. I was working (at home) almost immediately; worked at an event by two weeks out. Took a 1900 mile car trip over the week of Thanksgiving and did most of the driving. I'm now almost 7 weeks and have started to work out again. I feel great.
