Hey Y'all! I had my 6 week checkup on Thursday - I can now eat anything I want! I'm not really hungry. When I do eat, I eat small amounts. For example, this morning Breakfast was a scrambled egg,

Wow that's long time on pain meds i got off them before leaving Hospital sleeved 19th too on my way to work tonight energy abound. but guess we are all different. i can't stand the dreams and always needing to sleep. My 5 herina Operations before were much more painful. I used tylenol at home.

That's nothin. I had my surgery on the 5th and jhad such pain in my side that I barely stopped the lortab on Friday. I guess we all heal differently.

I guess I've seen too many get hooked I tell myself going in to get right off them. I see no real benefit it's all in the mind Tylenol is fine I wanna drive ( I drive home from hospitail) and get stuff done not lay around in alleged pain sleeping all day. It's just me

hopefully you didn't mean that the way it came out as my pain was definetly not alleged. My ex best friend is addicted to pain pills. It's really sad. But then there are those of us who legitimately need them and don't abuse them. I wish it were different but I would've not got any sleep those first few weeks the kind of pain I was in. But if Tylenol works for you, more power to you.

No not meant toward you at all. Most pain for me I say is in my mind. The side effects form that stuff is much worse to me then the pain. My Hernia surgeon few years back when I told him I worried about getting hooked said flush em down the toilet I did just that

I can't believe how good I feel. I was sleeved on 11/26. I have had very little pain at all. I only needed the pain meds the first day. They sent me home with meds but they were never even opened. I know two others who were sleeved the same day as me were in quite a bit of discomfort and I felt so bad for them. I also know that could have been me. I have a lot of energy all of the sudden. As of yesterday. I was told this could happen and it did. I am not unhappy about it what so ever. One thing I am having an issue with and it really just started today is I am all the sudden very hungry. I am getting more than enough fluids. I measure all that I drink. I only get 2oz of protein shake 3x a day. Anyway I hope everyone else is doing well.

Please don't feel bad about the rate that you lose weight. I can say for myself that I worked my tail off for each lb that I loss. It took 7 days to get the ten lbs of fluid off me that I gained during surgery. After that I have hit the pool each day swimming from a mile to two (which takes me 1 1/2hrs to 2hrs 45 minutes to do). I wanted each day off to mean something. I've only had 3 days off out of the 26 post-op from working out and one of them is because the gym was closed Thursday.

The weight will come off, how quickly is up to you.

My problem isnt how much weight I've lost its feeling like crap and dehydrated. Also I am getting tired of liquids still another 2 weeks before pureed.

Another two weeks of just drinks and protein shakes? I feel your pain because I am trying to figure out how I am going to make it another week on just liquids.

Sorry can't figure out how to delete and I am not sure why this posted 50 times.

I know what you mean. I had my lap band removed in September and they sent me home with Percocet. I took them for about 3-4 days and then switched over to Advil. But for a couple nights after stopping the Percocet, I had horrible insomnia, restless legs, hot and cold flashes, etc. It was horrible and I was shocked that I could get withdrawl symptoms after taking it such a short time. I told my doctor I never want Percocet again. And I'm hoping the lortab doesn't yield the same result.

Hi all I just joined but I was sleeved on Nov 13th. I started at 257 I lost 22llbs the 1st week. I'm not really sure where I'm at right now because I refuse to buy a scale I don't want to live and die by it but I can see that more pounds have come off and I can wear clothes that had been sitting in my closet to small for years now. I haven't had any set backs and no pain or nausea since the procedure thankfully. Hardest thing is getting all those darn liquids down and I still yet to know when I'm full. I just seat the suggested ounces and I feel normal afterwards no full filling but not hungry either. Can't wait to start start soft foods Wed bc these soups are getting really boring.

I'm 4wks out tomorrow and down 18 lbs. Guess I'm a slow looser. So far so good. Back at work for a week and can tell. Back hurts alot. Gotta get used to pushing a med cart again!

Weird thing is my back has been hurting too and it rarley did before surgery!

I am now 7 days post sleeve and things are looking up. I stopped the pain meds a couple of days ago and I am feeling good even sleeping on my side and stomach.

I can drink as much water as I like, I only feel it if I drink to fast like I did before the sleeve. I am not sure if that is the sleeve telling me it's full or not, but I am sure that it will make me drink and eat slower. I have no issue getting the protein in other than I am sick of it. Can't wait to start on scrambled eggs and cottage cheese next week.

I am walking 2 miles a day and hope to keep increasing that. I am down 8 lbs from my pre op weight.
