Chat Room

I dont even know where to post this anymore- frustrating!-- i digress.

Where has everyone gone?

The chat room used to be an active place. A safe place for emotional support, advice, encouragement and friendship. If you've left, please come back.

If you never been to the chat room, please stop by and introduce yourself. (you can find the "door" to the chat room at the top under "community".

Hope to see you there!

It used to be pretty fun in there. I don't know, this new chat engine is just so different. I think people were used to having chat open and being able to navigate the site. Although you can still do this, the button is not that obvious and I bet a lot of ppl don't know it's even there.

Also I wonder if the influx of other WLS people had anything to do with it. I don't know, I'm just wondering aloud.

I'm still not a huge fan of the new site format. It's getting easier to navigate and find current topics, but change is always difficult.

I agree, Tink. I think part of the issue is that we used to automatically be able to see the chat window & the convo going on, so a lot of folks probably jumped in when they saw a topic being discussed that interested them. Now you have to actually 'enter' the chat room to see who's there & what's being discussed. I think the old way generated more activity in chat. However, I think they may still be tweaking the chat function, so perhaps they will take that into account. I will try to do better about joining in, since I know I haven't been as present lately. :)
