Milestones After Surgery

My 10 year high school reunion is this summer. Probably since I have graduated, I have said I was not going. I keep in contact with many of my classmates through facebook, but I am so ashamed of what I look like. Each year the pounds have piled on. Now that I will be sleeved in December, and then 8 months later my reunion, I am starting to change my attitude. I think I may go! Does anyone else have an event after surgery you are looking forward to, or deciding to go because you want to show off a healthier you?

I started out not too heavy and then slowly packed the pounds on year after year...and miss many events because I too am ashamed. I was sleeved on Monday 11/11/13 and I have now agreed to go to Sweden with my husband to visit friends. The trip is 8 months from now so I most likely won't be at my goal weight but I'll SURE LOOK BETTER than I did the last time they saw me which was 2 years ago. We are also going to Celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary.
