Bowel Confusion

When I started my pre op 7 days ago, I was running to the bathroom but now it's almost like complete opposite. I'm on protein shakes and clear liquids. I'm trying to figure out if I need to start my colace ASAP. Pain meds cause severe constipation and I don't need that kind of BS after surgery. Any ideas?

It is powder and no taste mix with gatorade an viola. I take it about 7 at night so it will work by the next morning. You might have to do it 2 nights in a row.

Hi, I'm a chronic pain sufferer and for constipation I take a prescription called Lactose. Tastes like a Pina Colada and works great!! Turns it into baby poo and it just slides rite out!! lol

I agree it does work well, but mine does not taste like Piña Colada!! It tastes like thick liquid sugar. What pharmacy do you get yours from??? I want mine to taste like that!! ;). Did you take yours right after surgery?

I've been on mine for years because I'm a failed fusion patient with a failed spine. I get mine from CVS Pharmacy.
