Well I almost forgot I had posted this awhile back.I ended up just telling them.I figured they would find out one day.I did not tell anyone before surgery besides my husband. My mother wanted to kick my butt that I did not tell her prior. Anyway,I can not stomach the slimfast and I was on mushies by the time we went to the beach so I ate oatmeal, mashed potatoes and tomatoe soup.I was pretty much feeling fine by the weekend except for that dang shoulder/neck pain. Thanks for all the replies!!!

4 days after surgery, the odds are your going to be bloated, in some pain, guarding your incisions, and not wanting to be too far away from a bathroom, or a couch to lay down on... I'd forgo a beach trip if it was me. Granted I was back to work in 4 days, half days, but trust me.. walking sitting, moving took a great deal of effort, and those protein drinks give you the runs, not to mention all the gass you have.
