What shrinks your liver?

Hello everyone, I have a quick question. What shrinks your liver? Is it the amount of water or fluids? Is it the all liquid diet? Is it the all liquid diet with protein shakes and if your lucky one very small high protein meal a day? I guess my question is... Is it the protein or fluid? My pre-op diet is all clear liquids and just one protein shake a day. Every other day because I can't take it and I'm about to pass out I eat a boiled egg, is that really bad? I won't eat an egg the last 4 days of the diet. Please remember I'm on day 5 of this diet and this may not make sense. Lol lol Let me know your thoughts and thank you for your replies.

My doctors diet was slim fast or the like in am, noon and lean cuisine at night for 10 days. Not much like a diet but it worked I guess... im sleeved. High fat/calorie diet makes for one big liver. They have to move it out of the way and in some folks its 3 times normal size. That's why the bigger you are, the more risky the surgery. Liver bleeds easy when nicked and can be hard to stop so they don't want to hurt it in anyway. My doc said if he got in there and it was too big, he would not go further. One of the reasons I passed on gallbladder removal. That and 25% of all who have it removed have the runs for life.

Funny how sooo many doctors have soo many instructions. With mine, we don't do Protein drinks, all from food, Im already doing solids although its about 6 table spoon then it just makes you feel icky, full, bloated, which is good for me. I loved food. Food is not nearly as interesting anymore :)

Now what can I removed to make me not want to go to the casinos....lol buffaloooooooooooo lol

Zero carbohydrate & Zero Sugar... that is all trust me, i lost 20 lb in 2 weeks eating protein and vegetables only, drinking 3 liter of water per day.
