Sleep Study Question Please Help

If your not required by the surgeon to have a

sleep study, but later on initiated a study on

your own and was told you have very mild sleep

apnea and given a choice by the PCP to

schedule a titration appt., Or to go head and

have the surgery as treatment . Will my surgery

be refused or cancelled, if I didn't choose a

titration appt? My PCP kept stating it shouldn't

be a problem, and she doesn't 't see why I

wouldn't be able to go forward with the surgery.

I'd say reach out to your surgeon. It's for your safety that your surgeon know absolutely everything about you and how to keep you safe while you're out. My surgeon wanted a titration done if anything came back unusual for me (everything was normal so I just had the one night)

Sent from my iPhone using VST

I would get the titration. Sleep apnea is not cured for all by the surgery.
