waiting games

So I'm sitting here waiting on medical records to be sent to my surgeon. Its been 3 weeks and they said they only have 1 of 3 back. Although I've called my other 2 prior doctors and both have said things were faxed. Irritated due to the fact I want this scheduled before the end of the year but with my luck it won't happen. Still have to see what my insurance (united health care) requires me to do to get approved. I don't really know what all I have to do yet to actually have a date scheduled havecto wait and see what he insurance people say if I can ever get the docs to send the paper work. Im almost tempted to go pay for copies of my medical records and hand deliver them to the surgeon. I want to get the show on the road to recovery and skinny new me. Ok I may be venting a little, how long has it taken you to get aprroved?

  • Unless the doctors are out of town, make arrangements to pick the records up yourself and hand-deliver them to the surgeon's office. I wish I had done that instead of waiting two months to figure out

I understand where you coming from. I am in the same boat. I need to have this done by years end. I need the surgeons office to look at my file. I also need the Cardiologist to stop dragging his feet. Frustrating to say the least. Stay on them and good luck.
