Stretch Marks the spot

The worst thing about gaining and losing so much weight over the course of my life is that I have so many stretch marks...I'm still pre op, but just wondering how any of you have coped with them post operatively? How bad are they when you lose 1/2 of yourself?

I don't really worry about stretch marks, I've had them for years. Your question made me remember something I thought was ironic about how 2 things can have such opposite connotations.

I ran across a thread in a bodybuilding forum and the guy was bragging about his stretch marks. To him it was a sign that his skin couldn't keep up with the growth rate of his muscles.

So my only thought about stretch marks is; I'd rather be thin with stretch marks rather than overweight with perfect skin.

Good luck with your surgery.
