Constipated?

How can you tell if you are constipated if you are still passing gas? I Am having pain in my mid to lower left abdomen. Could this be constipation and I not know it? I really don't know what it could be.

Constipation means you cannot have a bowel movement. It doesn't really cause pain. Sounds like you have gas pains. Can u go on a walk and take some gas strips?

I know all are given different instructions. .. that being said.. my surgeon said the gas strips movethe gas in the wrong directin which can ultimately cause more pain. Walk it off... lol

Constipation can absolutely cause pain. How long has it been since you've had a BM. Don't wait too long to do something about it. I was a little backed up from taking iron. My whole digestve tract was uncomfortable and I could not go. I mixed a dose of Miralax into about 4 ounces of warm apple juice and it worked like a charm.
