Recumbant bikes

Am thinking of putting this on my birthday/Christmas wish list. Due to painful knees thought it might be more effective exercise for me, especially if I can actually use it. I can only do about ten min on my treadmill then my knees start catching and feel like pins being stuck in them. Anyone have one and is it a good workout ?

My mom has a lot of struggles with knee pain and other medical issues. She has a recumbent bike and loves it

Thank u so much for the inputs. It does help me and it's going on my list for sure!

They are good for reducing pressure, just make sure to increase resistance to make it a good workout. I did not have pain at the time I used then at the Y, randomly, but found I got the least workout on it.

I don't think the elliptical is as hard on the knees as a treadmill. There isn't any pounding and that is definitely a workout.
