Running before and after GS

Started running 2 months before my surgery. Let me tell you it's not easy but I have pushed though the shin splints. I really like running I'm sick of shin splints and hoping will ease up and I will get faster after being sleeved. I can run 2 miles now without a break and did a 5K last month(not fast at all). How much easier is it getting for all you post opers?

  • Congrats to you!! 2 miles is a huge accomplishment. Way to stick it out when it's the HARDEST. I find its way easier to do. Is it because I'm in better shape? Is it because I weigh a lot less? Probabl

Congrats to you!! 2 miles is a huge accomplishment. Way to stick it out when it's the HARDEST. I find its way easier to do. Is it because I'm in better shape? Is it because I weigh a lot less? Probably both. ;) you will be amazed at how easy it gets. Keep at it IF you truly enjoy it as exercise.
