Some insurance will cover a panniculectomy, which is not the same as a tummy tuck but will get rid of a big flap of hanging skin on your abdomen. The result is generally not nearly as aesthetically pleasing as a tummy tuck. But insurance coverage varies a lot, including whether they will cover it and what the requirements are. Best to check directly with your own insurance.

I have not heard of insurance covering a proper tummy tuck, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist out there somewhere!

After Obama care, good luck. I had everything set in place to get a tummy tuck and two weeks later the insurance reneged and gave some bs to me and the doc office. Not a happy camper

Some will but you have to have rashes and stuff from the extra skin

I am getting a tummy tuck and panni on 10/17, all covered by insurance. I got a referral from my pain management dr., due to spine issues. It also helped to go to my ins. website and print the criteria for panniculectomy to bring to the appt.
