My surgery is Thursday October 10th 2013 will i be hungry....

I'm so nervous and excited at the same time. I can't imagine what eating will be like after the surgery. Will I be hungry? Will I feel like something is missing? How was your eating after surgery?

I wasn't hungry for about 4 days after surgery. I drank, but didn't eat until day 5 really. I could only get in one or two spoonfuls of yogurt or maybe a whole popsicle, if I was lucky. Your stomach (or esophagus) will tell you when to stop, trust me! I didn't feel like anything was missing and no tastes changed for me. Good luck!!

Thanks so much Jessica! That sounds like great news. I just don't want to be cooking for my family and wishing I could eat what they're eating, because of the smells and everything :)
