Hey Laura and welcome. I didn't have any of your symptoms, but are you staying hydrated? Is water making you have the sensation to vomit as well? I wonder if your surgeon tried you on some anti-nausea

The most important thing is to stay hydrated. The best protein shakes I found were the slim fast low carb, 20 mg of protein. I get terribly nauseous if I eat too fast. Just eat really, really slowl

Hi all,
I am new to this site. I have been having some problems and decided to see if there was a community out there with similar issues. I got my band done 2 weeks ago. I did liquids the first week and was then moved to pureed foods. For the past few days i have been sick to my stomach almost constantly. I can't get in what I need because the sight, smell and thought of the food I need to eat makes me want to vomit. Though I never actually throw up, I have the constant feeling and lump in my throat like I'm going to. Protein shakes are basically out of the question (at least the ones I have), it's the same with the food, it makes me sick. It's so hard to eat. I have like a constant upset stomach and some pain as well.
I went to the surgeon today and she said either they could try to access the port and take some of whatever liquid is there out or to go back on liquids for the weekend. I'm back on liquids, but still feel the same at this point.
Has anyone else had a similar situation? Anything would help.
Thank you,
Laura
