Hi, I'm actually posting for my wife Anna. She is on day 1 post surgery, she's in pain about a 5, and is dying to go home. We leave at 2 pm. We hope. Just worried about liquid intake. Is it 1 ounce every 15 min? Water Gatorade or broth. Thank u

Idk exactly how much drink but tell her to drink drink drink as much as she can. If she gets dehydrated she might end up back in there! Good luck keep in touch!

I had surgery last week and was told to drink 4oz every hour. At first I could only do small sips to coat my mouth. I couldn't take much and I felt horrible!! Tell her to hang in there, it gets better!! It was one week ago yesterday and I would say I'm 95% better.

Thank u. Today is day 3 my name is Anna. I'm drinking 4 oz every 15 min. Between naps that is. I'm about 50%. Lost 10 lb.

There is no fix rule. I would sip on clear liquids every now and then whenever I felt like. Avoid any liquid either very hot or cold. As for the pain it will go away slowly. Patience dear. Take rest for at least a weak. But move frequently. Good luck...

Thank u. Good luck and congrats !!! I had to go back to E.R. 3 days later. Turns out I wasn't doing my laxatives. Enough. After extremely sharp pains in stomach and shoulder and a million test a enema saved the day. Lol. Do your laxatives.
