I think I have read that they will perform plication up through age 70 in Mexico. I would say your overall health and ability to bounce back from the operation would be more important that a number on a piece of paper. Good luck!

I agree with Chow. If you are generally healthy I think they will perform the surgery up until 70. Good luck to you and please let us know what you find out.

I agree with ChowChows. If your overall health is good and you don't have such extreme comorbidities that would cause you to be at too high of risk for ANY surgery, I think it's definitely not too old! I know of 85 year olds getting hip replacements and coming through them just fine.

I had mine in Cancun and felt perfectly safe. Others on this board went to Tijuana. I was a little nervous to go there, but now I probably wouldn't think twice after seeing all the others who have gone there.

I went to Tijuana and It was Ok not scared at all,But I stayed at the hotel pretty much all the time.Radisson Hotel.

I walked to walmart and to revolution ave for souveniers.

We go to tijuana all the time. If you treat it like you would any big city then you should be fine. Don't bring valuables, don't flaunt around a lot of money and go places where others are at especially at night then you should be fine.

They make the majority of their money on tourists they want you to be safe.

65 is fine for VSG, subject to your general health being what's considered 'normal'. You may want to post on http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/ as that site may be more relevant for sleeve answers.

BTW what's your BMI?

My doc, Dr Lopez Corvala does the sleeve. I'd recommend him for the VSG to friends or family.
