I am 3 weeks in and it is good so far

I am 1-week post-op today. When you were at this stage could you feel full? I don't know that feeling yet and I am scared to eat to much.

It depends on what I ate but having liquids no not really I just go by measurement if I am done with my food I stop now eating real food yes I do feel full

I will b 7wks post op Tomoro. At 1wk I jus wasn't hungry at all but ate anyway..2nd wk. I started eating Soups na half of can I was real full. 3Rd wks I started eating veggies n fish. I'm now on anything I want. But my problem I can't find the happy medium. I always eat till i'm to full before I stop.

. I am one week post op and know exactly how you feel! I'm scared I'm eating too little or even too much. I haven't felt full at all yet..

Well I got a rude awakening. I call my nutrition talk to her about my food n she said at 7wks i'm still only suppose to eat a 1/2cup. So anyways she told the dr. n he called me back n talk to me like a dog!!! He said as much as u been thru n after all I did for u, then u go and eat watermelon n cantaloupe!! He said thats pure sugar!!! N he kept saying i'm so disappointed in you Sandra!!!

All I could say is i'm sorry ill do better. (

Just came across your thread ! Shame on your doctor. We all make mistakes and good for you for reaching out when you were unsure.

I no that was earlier today n i'm still shaking. I've lost 37lb in 7wks n he said I should bee down 60 by now.

We are all different and it is very hard to re adjust the hospital i went to is a center of excellence and has a great nutrition program if you go to there web it they have print outs for each stage fir how much and what you can and can not eat maybe they would helpful for you. It is highland hospital rochester ny put it in google it comes right up then go to the baratric department and the meal plans are on the left under i believe nutrition and meal plan stages. You can do this don't get to shook up by your doc be proud you reached out and that it was this soon now you know and it can only get better going head

I'm almost four months out and still don't feel 'full' in the same way I did before surgery. You shouldn't eat till you feel FULL. You should measure your food and eat no more than your serving, or less if you feel SATISFIED. Sometimes I can eat it, sometimes not. How do I know when to stop? I don't feel full - it's more of an "Ugh, I don't really feel like eating anymore" feeling. If I push it beyond that point I start to feel a slight pain or tight feeling below my breastbone. From there I'm one bite away from absolute misery - pain, nausea, cold sweats, gurgling in the back of my throat, and feeling the need to vomit but not able to.

Measure your food and you'll be fine .
