Chicken broth

Does anyone think it is an issue that the chicken broth from my broth portion of my pre-op diet is from won-ton Soup from my favorite Chinese restaurant? My pre-op diet is for a 14-day period and my surgery is scheduled for Sept 16th.

I go to this particular restaurant a lot and they send me home with broth only, so I am not tempted to eat the noodles or try to eat around noodles and they cook without MSG.

Thoughts???

Watch the salt, my diet was low sodium chicken broth.

The broth in Won Ton soup is very salty and high in sodium. I would recommend not eating it.

I agree it's salty, but most soups r. Have it once or twice if you really enjoy it but drink tons of water... Check w/ your doc to see what they think :). Best Wishes.

Wonton and pho broth were both on the list of things I could have on liquids stage and preop. Yeah they are high in sodium, but unless you have blood pressure issues it should be fine. This is a relatively short period of time, and you'll go to normal foods eventually and leave broth behind.
