I was just thinking how i was before I got sleeved about seeing scales at the Doctors office or Hospital weighing me. I was so shameful to get on one (about as much i hated to have my picture taken.) Even now that I haven't hit my goal weight yet, I'm not shy about stepping on the scale anymore, it's become my friend instead of a embarrassment to me... I got my Christmas present back in June with no regrets at all.. Merry Christmas everyone; I hope you feel as well as i do....peace

I have six pounds to get out of the obese bmi category and into overweight (I am 166 currently). I really want to start the new year with obesity officially behind me. I am pushing hard but not sure I can do it because I am such a slow loser. I am trying tho.

I realized I was overweight this past week. What an accomplishment!

Yay!! Isn't it funny how thrilling overweight can be? Congratulations on getting to the next level. :)

To all my June RNY Friends, I want to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas! This has been one of the most amazing years of my life. I owe each of you for having been an important part of my support system and my success thus far. Thank you for always being there!

Merry Christmas to you too! I pray 2014 is everything you hope for and more! Thank you all for your support in this journey. :)

Merry Christmas everyone! I've had a crazy week of shopping, wrapping, cleaning and soon to be cooking!. Dinner is at our house with the extended family. Turkey, ham, gravy, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs, green bean casserole, cream corn (with cream cheese), rolls and my brother in law is brining 2 of his homemade cheese cakes. I shouldn't have to cook again till Sunday? Then I should be tired of turkey again ….

Merry Christmas everyone! Enjoy your families and remember where we were last year and how thankful I know we all are for our new lives!

I want to take this time to thank each and everyone of you for your support and friendship over the past 7 months. Words are insufficent to describe the diffrence this forum has made in my sucess so far with this dramatic weight loss. My life is the best its been in 25 years and gets better each and everyday. I hope this holiday is is full of love and happiness for everyone.

We have been blessed with a wonderful gift of rebirth so please take this inner happiness we all have and share it! sing it out from the highest rooftops. I LOVE LIFE!!!

This picture is what greeted me for my ride home for the start of my holidays. Snow and the R 101 trolley decorated for Christmas.

God bless everyone! and a Merry Christmas from me to you.

In the Philadelphia area a Christmas tradition for all of us history geeks is to go to the annual Christmas day reenactment of Washingtons crossing the Delaware River. Since it was 20 balmy degrees here. By the end of the day i was freezing my Hessians off ( Revolutionary war humor :-p )

But since im able to do so much more this year and for the rest of my hopefully very long life, im trying new things even if freezing is part of the deal. So i hope you also had / having a great Christmas.

Family lore is that one of my husband's ancestors was said to have been in that boat. Maybe we will join you one year!
