I have been a vegetarian, now I just don't eat red meat. A veggie diet is definitely doable. My diet still consists largely of tofu dishes, garden burgers, and beans.

I been experimenting with it off and on since Ive been band. I think its a healthier lifestyle than eating meat, at least for me. I am training myself to get off meat, I stay on www.Goveg.com website for my motivation and info to help break my addiction from meat.

I became a vegan as my 2007 resolution, and while I'm not perfect with it, I do feel WAY better. I also think that there are PLENTY of ways to get very healthy protein (and high quantities of it) without eating dairy/animal products. I haven't been banded yet, but I plan to continue my mostly vegan diet after the surgery.
